Running has become a great cardio exercise that relieves stress and feel rejuvenated. Kristen has had help with her running from her mentor and trainers. Their help has prepared her for her first race, the Run with Donna 5k.
The race is to help fight breast cancer. This particular cancer has not affected her family like it has others, but it is important a cause to support because you never know when it will affect you or your family.
So far, Kristen can run a 5k in about 32 minutes. Her goal for Saturday morning is to run it in 30 minutes or better.
Thursday, Kristen plans to run 2 miles outdoors to prepare for the race and then eat a delicious pasta dinner.
Friday is the expo and it is supposed to be a lot of fun, filled with information, cool running gear and of course picking up the race packet.
